How to keep your IP phone on during a power cut.

Old telephones draw there power from the exchange, the new phones get power locally. If you have a power cut your phone will go off, your broadband router will also go off.

DISASTER you think well no. All you need is is a small up

Plug both the router and the phone into the ups, let the ups charge and all your router and phone will work.

What is BT Cloud Voice?

BT Cloud Voice Simply Put

What is BT Cloud Voice? Cloud Voice is a telephone system that has its switchboard hardware in the cloud. The system utilises existing IT network infrastructure providing it is up to the required standard.
Telephones  can be plugged into your existing wall sockets and the Computers can be plugged into the phones so no extra network outlets are not required. Power is supplied to the phones via POE (Power over Ethernet) this is from a special switch that provides power down the network cable.

The switchboard programming  is done from a web based interface and all management functions like directory maintenance, User name allocation and  call recording an be done from here.

Configuration changes can be done by the user web interface or a phone call to the help-desk who will make the changes for you.

The phone can be used anywhere there is a spare outlet that is attached to a  POE switch or you have a separate power supply for your phone. Cloud Voice also provides an app for your PC to allow calls to and from you machine.

auto provisioning address in the appropriate place and reboot the phone.
All done
