If you get the error
The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception
in your project check the following

What bit your machine is x86 or 64 if 64 set the Target CPU to x86 and make sure you have the runtimes installed for x86
